Since the Lanchpad, Lanchpad Mini, Lanchpad Mini MK3, Lanchpad MK11, Lanchpad Pro and the Lanchpad S ARE natively supported,
Is the Novation Launchpad X a natively supported controller for VDJ ?

Does anyone have experience using the Novation Launchpad X, with VDJ?
Thank you

It's not natively mapped

Personally I don't think it matters much if these midi pad boxes are "natively supported" (Pre-mapped)
It's not like a controller where most people will use it the same way
The faders will be used as faders, the jogwheels will be used as jogwheels, the eq knobs for eq'ing, play/pause/cue will be used as it says on the box and so on
But for these kind of x times x midi pads like the different Novation Launchpads there are far less rules
Would you like for some specific pads/buttons to be play/pause/cue? Maybe
Or to trigger 64 samples? Maybe
You will almost certainly not want them to do precisely what Atomix put in as default, for the ones that are "native supported" (Pre-mapped)
Lucikly buttons/pads are the simplest to map/re-map.
It's not like jogwheels with lots and lots of midi codes (or HID) coming in in patters
So what I'm trying to say:
Just connect it, let it be detected as a generic midi controller, click a pad/button and put the action script in that you want to trigger
It really is pretty simple to do
I did it for a midi keyboard a while ago just as an example:

@klaus it's not the mapping that is important, it's the definition, as simple midi you'd have no LED output

Yes, but didn't there used to be a "coming soon" section at the top of the supported controllers list? Or am I imagining things?

Perhaps you mean this Wiki page ? https://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ8%20Controllers.html
If so, i just updated it, but keep in mind that this page may be updated with a delay, and could be deprecated at some point. You should use the DJ Hardware from the top website menu and the available Filters
