Topic: Keyboard volume buttons make a wide black 'window' pop up, blocking access to controls. It fades, but I have to wait. Can't move it or close it. Windows 10.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I read that it started appearing in Windows 8. I'm using Windows 10, build 17763, on a laptop (Lenovo Yoga 710-15IKB). My Realtek driver is up-to-date.
Can I stop that wide black 'window' from popping up? Can I change it's size or location? Currently it pops up towards the top left of my screen.

(It only pops up if I use the keyboard volume keys. If I use my mouse to click the speaker icon on my Windows' [taskbar], a small volume slider appears, in the bottom right, but immediately disappears when I click out of it.)

Could you make thread titles that aren't paragraphs?
