Topic: Looking for advice: Pioneer DDJ 400 vs Numark Mixtrack Platinum

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

As the title of the thread suggests I am looking at getting either a Pioneer or Numark controller and I was wondering if anyone here can share their experience with using either controller with VDJ?

I am leaning towards the Numark because it is cheaper and also because it has bigger tempo controls compared to the Pioneer. However, apparently the DDJ would be beneficial to both use and learn on because of its similarity to CDJs. Is the DDJ premium worth it to get exposure to the Pioneer ecosystem or is there other reasons that make it worthwhile over the Numark?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice. :)

That depends on your software Preference. Traktor or Serato, only you could make that choice. Just My OPM.

I posed my question here because I plan to continue using Virtual DJ with whichever controller I get.

Platinum is $199 @ Sweetwater.com now
