Topic: Audio dropouts? Denon MCX 8000

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I need help with a tweak so I don't get "hiccups" or I guess they are audio dropouts. I can go a couple of shows in a row with the sound being fine then the next time I will get at least 12 dropouts in the night. If it happens once in a night it will do it about 12 more times. I would need someone to explain latency to me if that is what it is.
Denon MCX8000
Latest Build of Virtual
Windows 10 64 bit

Check for latency caused by drivers on your laptop. HP and Dell machines are particularly bad for this. also increase the latency setting in your MCX8000 Asio driver control panel.

What is a good latency setting past 512?

Whatever doesn't cause dropouts. Every system is different.
