Topic: Jogwheel not reacting to linear gesture

If I click and hold a deck's jogwheel (in the actual GUI) and then swipe the mouse up and down vertically, the jogwheel stops spinning at once the mouse pointer reaches either the top or the bottom of the jogwheel. It seems to react to rotation gestures. EQ knobs, on the other hand, don't work this way in VDJ. Is there a setting to enable the linear gesture? Thanks

For linear, you should click, hold & drag the scratch waveforms.
The jogs on VirtualDJ are considered as endless encoders (infinity rotations) while EQ knobs are... knobs with min and max values

Thanks for clarifying. In that case, it would be cool if we could have an option to select between linear and rotary. Or simpler yet, if the initial click/tap is within the red circle, make it linear, otherwise make it rotary if its within the black area. I think that would be quite intuitive because if you want rotary action, staring from the usually results in very coarse movement, so people naturally would grab the jogwheel by the black area, just like a real vinyl.
