There was a driver, that didn't fix it. It was me being stupid using milkdrop that i transferred instead of installed.
Hopefully me being dim can help other people out.

I'm having the skin flickering issue also. I'm on a mid 2012 MacBook Pro. Are there any solutions yet?

Milkdrop was the issue on ours. Just disengage and make sure you have shader selected. The issue seemed to only be with Milkdrop in the background.

It is happening occasionally on different skins; but it happens every time I right click.

Did you try turning experimentalSkinEngine to No, or skinFps to 60?

Thanks. If I set experimentalSkinEngine to either "Yes" or "No" the screen flickering stops. It only seems o be doing when set to "Auto"
