Topic: What are optimum settings for Video files? some home made videos causing GUI stutter

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

just wondering ,are there any particular settings, codecs etc, that virtual DJ likes or dislikes ?

i ask because im a VJ , and occasionally i do my own video edits of songs. but some of my own edits seem to cause the GUI to stutter especially when i loop them.
the official videos i get from dj pools and such dont do that.
i try to use the same resolution etc.

generally my video exports are mp4. H.264 codecs and either 1920 x 1080 resolution or 1280 x 720 which is the same as the other music videos, only thing i dont know is the codec.

my laptop is a proteus IV, 32GB ram, nvidia GTX 1060 6GB graphics card. windows 10

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 15 to create my edits and no issues here.

one thing i noticed is that the audio settings on premiere default to AAC 48khz

iv changed it to 44khz mpeg

no idea what difference this makes to be honest but i know 44khz is more usual for music. so perhaps this is better for performance.
