Hi Guys,
I have searched the forums and could not find anything on this so I decided to post my question here.
Last weekend I started to play after another DJ and was watching his last 2 tracks closely for BPM and key (and stuff). This is so that I could make a decent transition without affecting the dance-floor too much.
The last song BPM was 125.85 and I then proceeded to match my song (a 126 banger) to this using the pitch slider of the controller. I got 125.77 and then it jumped to 126.10... I could not match to 125.85
My friend saw me struggle and using the jog-wheel on his controller adjusted the BPM in fine increments to 126.00 and I was able to reset my BPM to match accurately. Needless to say I was very very very envious... there is no function on my controller or on VDJ that are able to change the BPM of a song in fine increments so that I can match whatever beat is being played outside of VDJ.
For context I have to say that my friend was using another DJ platform (T) and it seems he can change the BPM of the song using the jog-wheel as well as the pitch-slider. The pitch slider will do the big adjustments and the jog-wheel (could be on a second function) does small 0.05 increments.
I this at all possible in VDJ... I there a mapping I could try
(I have Pioneer DDJ-SX for gigs as well as Hercules RMX for home purposes)
Thanks for a great site and product.

if you set your pitch range to 6% or 8% in these cases the adjust will be much finer
i am sure the mapping wizards will help you out with other alternatives.
also dare i say if it was sounding bad just click the sync button and the bpms would match instantly it's there for a reason :-)

You could map some keys to
pitch +0.01 bpm
and
pitch -0.01 bpm
You could also add some SHIFT mappings for bigger/smaller pitch changes depending on your preference.
