Topic: Virtual DJ doesn't freeze but audio cuts out.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I work in a nightclub so this is sort of an emergency. I can't explain it. The audio just randomly cuts out, and of course I'm on the other side of the bar when it happens. I usually just x out of the program and restart it and it works. When it starts back up all my playlist is still intact but I have to restart the video. The other DJ claims it doesn't happen to him (I'm skeptical)
We do subscribe to Content Unlimited. I usually don't play the music videos. I play our in house promo.
We run Windows 10
We have Virtual DJ 8.2
What other information is needed to assess the situation. I work at a gentleman's club so I don't really do any kind of mixing. I just set up a playlist and automix it. The work is on the microphone. The point is I don't have a clue in how to fix this. HELP. I go back to work tomorrow.

audio drop outs can often be due to latency issues. Can either be from not having powerful enough laptop or not having the settings correct. There are a number of things it could be. What is the spec of the equipment. Give as much detail as possible on the laptop and all equipment in the signal chain.

It's the house desktop computer. I'll be at work tonight and get all the info I can.

Is this software registered to the club, or is it a crack version? Which build of 8.2? When you say the audio cuts out, do you mean the software stops? Since you are online using content unlimited, if it's registered, it will send a crash report.

On another note, you said you are on the other side of the bar. I work in a gentlemen's club, and if you are not in the booth, and mixing, you don't work here. Where is this club, so I can get another night?

All the info I can gather. It's already happened twice tonight. Both times on the same video. The program does NOT crash or freeze. The sound cuts out. Everything else appears to be working but there is no audio. I X out and restart and it usually works.

Output- Speaker + Headphone
Card- Two Soundcards
Controller- Rane MP25 MIDI (custom mapping)
Licenses- Virtual PRO Infinity
Content Unlimited Plan- Audio and Video

PS. My job entails that I run around quite a bit and can't always be in the booth. I was making a joke that it always seems to happen when I'm away.

Both times on the same video? Well let's try something. Don't play that video, and see what happens. If it happens on other videos, come back. What two sound cards? Are you using the MP25 as a soundcard?

What file format is the video?
Maybe you can share the video so the developers can have a look.

Does it happen on another computer with the same track?
