Does the Infinity licensing cover updates to new major releases (i.e. VDJ 9 when it comes out), or is it only until VDJ 9 is released and you need to re-purchase for VDJ 9?

All updates are free after you purchase the Pro/Infinity license.

As far as I am aware once you purchase the pro infinity licence then all future updates are free of charge.

purchased VirtualDJ Professional in 2006 - version 3.4.
haven't had to spend a single dime on it since then for any version.

It's amazing really. One of the best things about Atomix and VDJ.
TBH I would gladly pay something for major upgrades to VDJ. I'm used to doing it for Ableton Live and Cubase. Even smaller software like Mixed In Key.
I mentioned on here before that maybe paid addons could be introduced.
Some of use were looking forward to the Timeline feature mentioned prior to the release of VDJ 8. When it wasn't there, I thought it might be a valid concept to have it as a paid addon for those that really wanted it. Seems to work OK for Serato DJ and Rekordbox.
