I tried NOT to post this, but I cannot get my new laptop to work with my Denon MC6000 MK2 properly. The audio skips, and eventually just stops playing a song.
I have a brand new HP laptop as follows:
Windows 10 Home
Processor: Intel Cor i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.90 GHz
Ram: 16.0 GB
Type: 64 Bit
Display: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
Virtual DJ 8.2 Build: 3493
I have tried several things to reduce the demand on the system (although it would seem like the new computer should handle everything). The problem seems to occur only when the controller is connected.
- I have tried both USB 3 and USB 2 ports for the controller
- I disabled the USB Selective Suspend in the control panel
- increasing the ASIO buffer size in the Denon settings
- Updated the firmware for the controller
- Updated the latest drivers for the controller
- I do NOT have virus protection on this machine
- performed a variety of adjustments in the Options section of Virtual DJ to decrease demand on the system. Increased Latency to 1000 in the Performance section; reduced video frame rates, skin frame rates, video quality, etc
I have used this mixer with another computer, and Virtual DJ 8, and no issues. Is it possible that V8.2 is buggy? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Paul

Try removing input from sound configuration. Or use WDM.

Line in is already disabled - What is WDM?

Is 8.1 any more stable than 8.2? I ran 8.1 on the clubs computer for the last six months with zero problems. Their machine crashed, so I was forced to install 8.2 on my brand new computer. I can play fine for 2 hours, and the software simply stops. Any help greatly appreciated.

No its not possible that 8.2 is buggy. Buffer size should be around 2ms and you audio settings should be, Asio for Controller. I have the same setup like you with no issues like yours.

Are you running video? I had major issues with my Asus laptop running Windows 10. I was running at MC3000 and my computer would unexpectedly crash after 30 minutes. In my case it was tied to my NVidia GTX 960M video card driver. I rolled it back to a windows 8.1 driver and it work flawlessly. I've since updated to a windows 10 driver and after a recent VDJ8 update I'm getting massive audio lag when I enable video. You can see my thread here.
