First off I know there are personal taste when it comes to setting up your settings to suit your needs. I like the setting now but I'm just having a hard time making it tighter. I'm using the Gemini G4V which is a decent controller.
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 3085dx (WIndows 7 Ultimate SP1 with Intel(R) Core i7 CPU)
Q720 @ 1.60GHz
4GB of RAM
64-bit OS
GeForce GT230M Nvidia graphic card (I know it's kinda old but that's ok lol)
My scratch settings are:
crossfadercurve is set to Scratch
rampScratchTime is set to 0.100000
jogSensitivityScratch us set to 1.500000
scratchFilterQuality is set to 12

I also have a similar setup:
HP Pavilion g119dx
4 GB RAM
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Intel HD Graphics 4400
Scratch settings same except:
scratchFilterQuality = 10
I don't think you'll get it much tighter than what you have. The biggest difference maker is sensitivity scratch setting. Any higher than what we have it will make it too "loose"; any lower than the default 1.00000 and it'll be too much work to get response. The G4V platters themselves are mechanical in that they respond to a touch and a light press. Not sure how much of a turntablist you are, but for me it's difficult to do repetitive moves like tears, transformers, boomerangs, and forget crabs!
I also rock a Numark N4 as a backup controller and with the same settings I get MUCH better response for scratches (closer to Traktor or Serato quality). Those jogwheels are capacitive touch and it also has a physical crossfader curve switch on the unit. Problem is I loose features (performance pads) with the N4 because it's older.
I haven't seen many videos online of anyone performing a lot of turntablism on the G4V or G2V, so I'd suggest sticking with the basic scratches. Perhaps the Gemini SDJ 2000 will be better whenever it's released. Cheers!

I changed my scratchFilterQuality from 12 to 20
I got a channel on youtube. Search for Practice Time w/ DJ Myzfit.
I got better with scratching since then.
Look me up on facebook too under dj myzfit. Maybe I can give/get tips about the Gemini g4v to those who think its a crappy controller. Its not but the sound could be better. If you know at least the dj basics you should be fine on this controller. You can still do the tricks that other djs do. You just have to adjust your hand rhythm as with other controllers or cdjs or turntables. I wouldnt mind getting a ddj sx2...thang is sweet.
