Hi,
I am trying to map my Numark NV as follows;
Left deck on Channel 1
Right deck on channel 2
Microphone on channel 3 (left side)
Samples on channel 4 (right side)
I'm sure this can be done as I've managed it on previous Numark controllers. On my last controller I used the setting for 3 outputs with left deck (1&2) right deck (3&4) and samples (5&6). Tried that with the NV but it doesn't seem to be playing the game. Channel 1 and 2 work giving me sound from the left and right decks.
Can someone please help?
Phil

***UPDATE***
I have now managed to assign the samples to my deck 4 fader. I knew it would be possible and after a full day looking for it I found the audio settings button tucked away within the samples menu (if that makes sense). Anyway that allowed me to send the samples pretty much anywhere I wanted them to be.
Still haven't worked out how to get my microphone through the deck 3 fader so if anyone knows it will probably save me another 24 hours of chopping and changing the audio config.

I don't know if this helps, but I just read this "However, since both Microphone and Line Inputs of the Numark NV are directly routed to the Master Output of the unit (Hardware Inputs), those cannot be controlled from VirtualDJ or included in the Audio Setup" here. Please double check this, as I know nothing about this controller.

A friend of mine has managed it but he is using a Mac. I'm hoping for the same with the PC.

this action ..
deck 3 linein 'mic'
will assign on/off the Microphone Input to Deck 3 (in order to apply Effects, Eq etc)
However, as mentioned above, the Microphone Input of the NV is a Hardware one and most likely the action mentioned above will not work. Keep also in mind that a Microphone line needs to be added to the Audio configuration, so you can try that by using the Microphone Inputs of your computer's built-in sound card (and of course have a Mic connected to there as well)

Thanks djdad,
Can you just confirm that I am doing this action correctly. My new key and action now reads as follows;
DECK_LEFT down ? deck 3 linein 'mic' on : deck 1 leftdeck

sorry, is the DECK_LEFT the name of the Key ?
I would suggest not to change the assigned action for the Keys/buttons that swap the controlled left/right decks, as in most cases, those act in a hardware way.
as for the rest of the action, still doesnt make sense to me.
down ? deck 3 linein 'mic' on : deck 1 leftdeck
means when the key is pressed, assign Mic to deck 3 and when released make deck 1 leftdeck. Is this what u want ?

I just want my microphone on channel 3 on my controller so I can use my fader to control the volume and and use the equaliser on that channel to get the mic sounding right.
