So I bought a G4V controller from Gemini and a Numark Orbit. Unfortunately G4V came with a LE serial key. now I was hoping I could try utilizing the 20 day trial to test both controllers together before deciding to send either or both back prior to the 30 day return policy at the retailer.
issue 1 - The 20 day Pro license allows me full features to use within the software but for the Virtual DJ 7 version and not 8 (You are offering me a trial for a software that you dont sell anymore and has been upgraded?)
issue 2 - The full features are only full when I can test them, right? Now I can download all skins and fx plugins while using the 20 day trial but I cant download any mappings! How is it a full pro trial license when you wont let me access the mapping file inventory on your website to test the orbit with the g4v.
Hopefully someone can help me with this..

The bundled version is VDJ7, so it stands to reason the trial will be for that version. You're of course welcome to download VDJ8 and try it the same was as any other user can.

It's a trial of the software. It doesn't raise your access on the website and the content you are trying to access is for users with a Pro license. You don't have a Pro license as you are using a trial and thus cannot access it. The content you are downloading was already accessible to you to download as an LE user.
