Topic: Just downloaded Virtual DJ 8 and it's not installing

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I downloaded it and open the installer. I can't change the install location for one thing and furthermore after install the files are nowhere to be found.
I was using VDJ 7 but it wasn't working with my login as I couldn't get the subscription working and use my DDJ SB for more than 5 minutes.
Can anyone help with this situation? I paid for a monthly subscription but so far can't use it since I don't have a working copy of Virtual DJ installed that will work with my login.

TIA:)

Virtual DJ 7 downloads fine. But my login doesn't work with it so I still only get 5 minutes of use with my SB. If it helps I'm running a Macosx with Mountain Lion 10.78 if I'm not mistaken.

Hi

PC or mac? Which os version? Why do you want to change location? Which Build of virtualdj you have (see properties)?

Check your OS permission in write when you install the software.

8.1.2578 is the version
Don't wanna change the location I just wanna see where it specifically installs to so I can find the file.

FYI the subscription license will only work with VDJ 8.

VDJ 7 used a serial number system for registration (which required a full purchase), whereas VDJ 8 uses a login system.

You should see VirtualDJ in the "Applications" folder.

When I download it, it doesn't come up. Should I remove all my other virtual DJ files?

Well I cleared and deleted everything and reinstalled now and it installed finally but now VDJ is saying it cannot connect to the servers and I gotta login to use the thing :/ Hmm now what.

Don't delete all files and settings, when it asks you.

Had the same thing happen to me except it was corrupting my other install of VDJ.

I trashed everything and moved my settings, skins, plugins, etc,etc to a different location and then VDJ finally installed.

And yes I to was on a Mac when this happened.
