Topic: ISO: Sample/Beat pad

I'm looking for an external beat pad/controller that can control virtual dj samples, but also act as a beat pad for instruments I make. I'm sick of clicking my mass amounts of Vdj beats and samples! If there is no such device to control Vdj samples, what device could I use outside of Vdj? (As in one I can load my samples to instead of controlling the samples off Vdj). If the external device has effects built in, that is a big bonus.

APC Mini, Akai makes a few cool units, try google and I'm sure lots I options will pop up
 
MPX8 for under $100 and the MPX16 for like $250-300 But the MPX8 is good enough!!! I love it, it sends midi messages to your software, but also plays samples with no software, and you can download samples and sample loops to the device and to SD cards and route the sound back into VDJ and run it thru an open deck. Its a beast and I connect it thru 5 pin din midi and sequence it. Super powerful tool!!! Check videos out on youtube...its the Akai MPX8. Hope that helps!!!
 
I use the Launch Pad S, which is mapped to Virtual DJ. They do have a new unit, the Launch Pad Pro that was just released, as well as a host of other controllers.
 
I use two of the Akai LPD8's (one for each of my Denon 3900's). They work great.
