Topic: PROMO ONLY IS TERRIBLE:

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've used a lot of pools and Promo Only is horrible. The music selection blows and its very expensive. I called to cancel my subscription and they were very ignorant. I would suggest anyone searching for a music pool to spend your money elsewhere.

i would disagree
the digital service for promo only called pool is reasonably priced for what u get
i pay $20 a month and get tons of stuff each month :-)

I have been using PO for 20 years now and they are nothing but awesome!!!!

Same here, but how do you guys get it for $20 a month and we have to pay £40 over here.

I disagree too about Promoonly. The UK version yields in excess of 100+ tracks a month and most does get played (if not straight away then usually within a few more weeks)

A lot of the content on POOL is sent hot from the record companies and is usually 'pre-release' meaning you got it sooner than its released to the charts..
Im a long time customer, I would recommend them to any working dj. :)

@tayla depends on the package u get i guess I'm only receiving audio files. I know video packages cost more.

14 year customer here. I pay $60/month and get about 35 videos, several audio releases with about 15-20 tracks each plus single releases and remixes as they become available. I do sometimes have to go to iTunes for some tracks that take while for promo only to get, but in general, I am a satisfied customer.

Wow that's expensive. I've been VERY happy with ProVideos4DJs and VJStreet both for video content. I used to get Promo Only on DVD and convert to VOB before MP4 got popular. Now I just download the MP4. No extra work required. Beautiful.

and to add my 2cents i also use promo only.....ive tried all kinds of other pools and keep coming back home ;-) promo 4 Life

I get a few of the audio bundles (I don't play any video), and pay $384.00 per year, which equates to $32.00 per month.

There's very little if any of purchasing songs outside this for radio type stuff. For some club stuff, I still need to buy from Beatport, etc.

This is definitely WAY cheaper than the record store hopping that I used to do years ago. (Used to spend about $100.00 per week on vinyl.)

I have been a long time subscriber to promo only since the mid 90s. Started out with CDs, then added DVDs and now I am a platinum member. Great value for what I pay each month for all of the music and HD videos. Beats the hell out of going to the store back in the old days which took up hours of my time each week, now I just download while doing something else. Used to also belong to VJ Pro, but Promo Only was so much better in the quality of the videos.

Let's not make this personal gentleman. You have not had a great experience with PromoOnly, while many others have. It's just a matter of opinions.

I go away for a minute, and it gets ugly. Fight night is next week. I thought your last post was insulting to a lot of people, so I leveled it up. I thought I asked nicely to keep it civil. I will ask again. Please stay on topic and not make it personal.

I also leveled the other two, that started this push and shove.

Try mp3pool it might be more your speed. But for what I need promo only covers my bases pretty good.
