PC 100%. The Mac version has always been inferior and V8 doesn't seem to be much better (and MacOS is horrible)

I know many people go for mac's because mac are less likely to get virus's so this ensure the programs running smoothly all the time and no problems! I just wanna know how it's vdj running on mac's, heard some story's about vdj I don't know is that true?
that vdj runs better on pc ?

That's only true for multi purpose machines, and it's a historic, decaying truth, if your machine is going to run V8 and perhaps light browsing. Windows Windows Windows.
*Source running a T2050 ,667FSB 3GB ram Win 7 (a machine pre sub prime derivatives) , in isolated mode I haven't had a crash that wasn't beta related.

Mac works better! A lot of Windows users here even bought Mac and Bootcamped VDJ. I never had problems on using straight Mac though.
This is an old photo. My 4th 2015 Macbook is not even in here. And if we have to add the durability, 2 of these Macbooks are 2008 and still works really well (same with the 2011).

I thought we were talking bout operating systems rather than hardware. The newer Apple machines are expensive and not that well specced. Mind you for a lot of people looks are more important than function or upgradeability!

@938MyDJ
Camelot wheel stuck to machine #utilitarian +1 (hint atomix; extended wheel, temporarily/dynamic colours on key /harmonic fields)
But my claim beats yours by 3 years.

You've gotten some pretty good answers here but I'm gonna tell you the truth,
If your on a PC VDJ is the best video software out there, PERIOD!! It runs great, many fx's at your disposal, midi control for damn near everything on the planet (except my 5500's 😜), timecode is super tight and there's always something new added to the PC side.
Now if you go with a Mac I'd just go with SDJ & Mix Emergency. For me VDJ seems to run my Mac alot hotter then I like, to the point I have to shut it off and switch programs, you loose many, many great fx's. Everything else still applies to the Mac side like midi control for any controller, tight timecode, massive libraries are no problem here.
But when you start mixing video (at least for ME) VDJ doesn't cut it on the Mac side. Hopefully this will change in the future but for now I don't use it with my Mac.
Now before ANYBODY starts taking shots this is all from MY OWN EXPERIENCE and MY OWN OPINION......

If you're eyeing for a Mac backwards, I suggest you consider getting from the generation of Quad-Core and i7.
Dual-Core and i5 will work well but you'll be more comfortable seeing your CPU usage at 20% on normal operation than 60%.

I've been using a MBP i7 15" boot camped with Windows 7 doing videos for 5 years. I did use the Mac version of VDJ8 last autumn for a few gigs, but, still prefer to use the PC version. Plus I've got two computers in one. ;-)
