Hey guys,
Curious... anyone ever experience this.... a month ago everything was going great... now... when I try to set the outloop on a track... it doesn't sync with the currently playing track....
steps:
1) First song is playing on DECK_A...
2) I load up song on DECK B
3) I sync the BPM's
4) I'm starting on a beat... nothing special there...
5) I let it play, and once I hit a loop point I want... I hit the out loop button which would normally attach itself to the correct point in the loop and would loop with the other track....
However... while one song plays and the others on loop... the looped track will eventually fall out of sync... I've never ever had this happen before...
It's as if it doesn't "snap to grid" or something...
Anyone have any idea?

This could be because you have turned off smart loop, which is the padlock icon above the IN/OUT buttons on the default v7 skin.
With this off, the loop in/out points will be set exactly where you pressed each button, so unless your timing is very good and accurate, the loop may not be a perfect exact length in beats.
With smart loop on, the length is automatically adjusted automatically to create a perfect beat loop.

If you run a controller with moving platters, this can also cause an issue. My NS7 has to be warmed up before the platters will spin at a proper speed. The other issue could be the tracks bmp has not been read right by VDJ, or varies through out the track.

Hmmmm you make a valid point... on the one that has a hard time keeping sync I notice the turntable (denon s3700) isn't spinning but I see it moving very subtly... I wonder if it's having an effect....
Also, i'll check to see if smart loop is checked off. I'm sure it's on though.... hmph
Thanks guys! I'm djing tonight so i'll check it out to see....

This could also be caused by tracks that don't have a constant tempo, e.g: Older tracks recorded with a human drummer or tracks that purposely speed up or slow down part way through.
Also, make sure that you have the latest firmware from http://www.denondj.com installed on the S3700(s) and the latest VirtualDJ Pro v7.4 installed (Which has updated support for the S3700 platters.) Please register your Pro serial number to your account and then download the latest version from the Download Center.
If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it (Especially if you are working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.)
Please see S3700 for details on how to correctly configure the S3700's including setting high resolution platters in the latest firmware.

Hey hey :-D
Excellent I will verify what version is being used. (I DJ at this place which I use their equipment) I'll make sure everything is upto date. If they let me use the serial here then that'll be great for future support.
Thanks again :-D

It's the purchaser/owner of the software that needs to register it.

If it belongs to the venue, then they will need to register and update it if it's not the latest v7.4. Also, check to ensure that the S3700's have the latest firmware installed.
Do not register the venue's serial number to your own account because it belongs to them rather than you. They must not disclose their serial number to anybody else.
NOTE: If you are using equipment provided by the venue and their in-house installation of VirtualDJ, then it's a good idea to include this information in your posts when asking for support.

I don't know how hard the sound system your on hits, but when I was using my Denon 5500's the bass at my club hit so hard the platters rattle and the decks would slide around during the night. This caused the same issue. I put some foam under them and it cleared it up.
