You can't. ContentUnlimted songs can only be played and used within VirtualDJ while your subscription is active.

They are not licensed for and cannot be used for any other purpose, which is why they are DRM protected to prevent use in any other applications/devices. ContentUnlimited songs are also rented and cannot be kept permanently.

Attempting to bypass the DRM protection is illegal. Please cease this illegal activity immediately. ContentUnlimited music is for live DJ performance only, which is why they cannot be recorded within VirtualDJ itself.

If you wish to keep selected songs permanently, then you will need to purchase them directly from iTunes, Amazon, etc. or a DJ service such PromoOnly.

If you wish to also have a similar rental service for personal listening, then you can use services such as Grooveshark ( www.grooveshark.com ), Rhapsody, Spotify, etc. (NOTE: Grooveshark's own service is for home consumers while the content from them provided via ContenUnlimited Audio Plan is for DJ use.)

Yeah, i had to know bout it. Well, thanks. I'll check out other of record pools for songs for sale mp3s....

Can anyone tell me how long a song would stay in the cache memory?

Thank you for that answer, really fast response, first time i have used the forum.

If you are playing an off-line gig, simply make sure that you refresh all your cache authorisations just before going. Each cached file needs renewing every few weeks, but different files will expire at different times/dates depending on when they were originally downloaded.

Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/ContentUnlimited%20Offline%20Use.html

how to convert mp3 song into dj song

How can i convert an mp3 extension to .vdj extensionis there any such kind of converter available.. plz recommend

Files don't need to have a VDJ extension to play in the sampler. MP3s will work too.

How can you clear from Downloaded folder, while still keeping the songs in another folder? I tried deleting, but then found all songs deleted from all files, is there something I am missing?

the problem is that very often i have very poor internet connection in a club I play... In many clubs - internet connection is so unstable that its impossible to rely only on contentunlimited or any other streaming service so u need anyway to have all songs you play in computer in mp3 for case that internet connection breaks or is poor.. GFor club where is stablkke wired internet for example via ethernet cable - its good...

You can move the files to another folder - BUT do this from inside Virtual DJ - highlight all the tracks - right click - file operations - move.
This way Virtual DJ will keep the database up to date, still be able to find the files and be able to update the authorisations when required.

If you download the files to Cache prior to going to the club then you will be able to play the tunes without any issue.

So there's really no value to this service other than having it available if someone request a song on the spot that you don't have. But even still, why not put that $10 towards an MP3Pool and have the music permanently? You're saying we have to pay to spend time finding the music, caching it, refreshing it every few weeks, and if the subscription stops, all that work is gone. Yeah sounds like a good idea. VDJ has enough ProDJ user base that this should be a Pool not a subscription.

That's the value. That's what it's there for.

It's the integration mainly, as there are plenty of other music download sites where you could buy a track if you have web access. Some people do tend to use it as a replacement for buying their tracks though, continuously downloading anything and everything.

I'm old school. My tracks are all on my hard drive way in advance of any gig, having checked with clients to ensure that I have everything they want. Once at the gig, if someone asks for a track that's not in my collection (happens occasionally) I'll simply admit that I don't have it and suggest something else. No shame in that!

If it really truly absolutely must be played immediately, then providing I have web access, I'll download it from one of the many well known vendors.

Need imidiate reply about how to convert files recorded in virtual DJ into mp3 or normal audio file?

In what format did you save the recording initially? There are many programs to convert your audio files, simply google. Audicity is a free option.

Files recorded in Virtual DJ are already normal audio files.

If you mean something else, please explain in more detail.

Hey guys,

Been using Content Unlimited for a while now, and even in situations where there is little or no interweb service, you can still use the tracks if you re-new the licenses beforehand.

If you walk into a gig with no plan for bad wifi, or your library isn't up to par then don't expect to be hired again. Sure you might be called last minute for a place with no wifi, but why aren't you cultivating a well rounded music library in the first place? << This is one of the indications that you may not be the passionate DJ you claim to be...

Anyways, can't say enough positive things about the CU service.

If you dont have internet where you are or if the venue's internet is not vey good.....use your phone as a hotspot. Works for me.
