People often ask if they can play their music from their iPod/iPhone. How can I plug their ipod/iphone directly in to Virtual DJ without using iremote.

Not sure if i understand, but this is not possible.
iRemote is just a APP to controller the computer based VDJ software by remote!
If you want to use your iPod/iPhone or iPad stored music files during a Gig, you have to use a input on your mixer to route the audio signal through the mixer to the speakers.
