Topic: Anyone ever tried Mixxx?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Saw this on DJ Worx:

Sounds interesting and has a lot of features for being an open source tool. Wonder if they will ever come out with video functionality. It wont ever be as good as VDJ, especially with V8 coming out but it sounds like they are on a good path. I'll probably download it and try it out, since I like trying different tools to see what their strengths and weaknesses are. I already have Serato SL2, Traktor Scratch Pro, and VDJ Pro (my main software I use), and Abelton Live.

It was a nice little project, good alternative to those people who don't have $ to burn.
The last time I tried Mixxx, it didn't have hot cues or looping but they are constantly working on it and some day it will be good enough...maybe today is the day.

I check out the software every once in a while to see how it's coming along, sound like they have released a nice update.
