Hello I would like to know what would you recommend me for my karaoke set up.
I would be using my mp3+g files on virtual dj and a pair of shure sm58, should I get a normal FX mixer or a dedicate karaoke mixer. Any suggestions? I would like to be able to adjust the mics echo.
Thanks!!!

It might help if you give an idea of how much money you want to spend.

Well I don't want to spend a lot of money, my budget would be around $300.00.
Thanks
Thanks

For karaoke purposes you dont need more than this Behringer XENYX 1202FX around $100 us. I've been in the karaoke business for over 30 years now and this is the simplest it gets and does the job. Just keep the preamps for the mic lower than 12 o clock and the mics sound good. Use the last stereo channel in for your controller/soundcard or laptop.

You will also need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to play karaoke full-screen. Your LE version that you have now is free limited software and is limited to a small video window only, which may be too small for your singers to read. Your LE version should entitle you to an upgrade discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

Just look at that cheap unit, it has metal jack inputs, not those plastic ones that Denon and Pioneer use! if you can do it on a cheap unit like this then why are Denon and Pioneer being so tight?

I've heard people say good things about the studiomaster C3X.

Very compact if space is an issue, and it has built in reverb, etc.
