I use the MTP and LOVE it ...

thank you, more suggestions?

I have the mixtrack pro, can only say good things about it, I was surprised how responsive and functional it is, mine came with virtual dj le, and as soon as I had got to grips with its features I upgraded to pro.

I'd say neither and save up a little money then go with the Stanton DJC.4.

hi beatbreaker, thanks for replying, stanton really looks more professional than beatmix and numark but does it have soundcard? what do you think about it compared to beatmix and numark? and what about scratching on these 3? also i have another one question: stanton can be used as real standalone mixer? i would be glad if you will answer to all my questions. thanks :)

Yup the DJC.4 has a built in soundest. I wish it was louder but it's clean and the ASIO drivers are good. I've had a Mixtrack and got bored with it pretty quick. Not cause it wasn't any good but because of the lack of buttons and knobs. I'm not a fan of using the shift button and with most controller s you have to use a shift with hot cues and samples. Look at even the high end controller s, always gotta use that shift. As far as scratching goes, any controller can be tweaked so you get a good scratch with the registry tool. Now the stand alone mixer part is some b.s.. I was not happy when I finally got mine as it was one o he reasons I bought it. It's not a true stand alone mixer, when something is plugged into the aux it bypasses the crossfader and goes straight out to the master. Other then that I love this thing!! I use mine with turntables and timecodes, Yup it's on of a few controller s where you can plug turntables directly into it. The mapping is by far one of the best I've used. As someone said about it, the controls arent shoe horned in and made to work with the controller.

In my opinion it's a great controller and I'd buy it all over again if I had to.......

im really thinking hard now about getting it. so you say its definitely worth additional $$ and its better than these 2, yes? what do you think also about hercules dj console 4-mx? really the scratch thing is really important for me and i dont know any registries etc. thanks in advance

Most jogs at this price point are going to be very comparable. Like Break was saying, it is way more "in the way the computer and software are configured" when it comes to a good scratching performance on any controller. Stanton and the Herc are both good, again (at this $$ point) Both responsive and the jogs quality. Note that the Herc 4-mx is not a pure 4 channel controller. It is 2 channels per side, shifted to allow decks C and D......All this said the big dif. in jogwheels is up towards the 1000$ marker. NS6, NS7, motorized stuff. These are of course superior to the scratch performance of the stuff we are recommending. But again, Stanton and the Herc should do the job for you....

I second the djc4, all the features might be a little over whelming just starting out, but it's easy enough to start with basic features and plenty left to grow into. I haven't seen or used anything comparable in this price range;^]

thank you guys, i think i will buy djc.4 :) just need more money. any attentions/suggestions about this controller?

ok thank you i know almost everything :) just 1 more thing: many people said that stanton djc.4 works better with traktor (e.g. jog wheels-scratching? idk). what do you think about that? i know its virtualdj forum but.... :)

Well I use timecodes and in my own experience if the controller wasn't made for Traktor the jogs are usually shit. I've tried my Mixdeck, Mixtrack and the DJC4, couldn't get a scratch with any of them but when I tried the S2 and S4 they were on point. You can always go in and tweak them but the mapping system in Traktor is hell to understand (again my opinion ). But like I said, with VDJ you can tweak any jog wheel and get a great scratch out of anything.

ok thank you i think for this price i wont find better controller? and also i will need additional cables or something?

No sir, it's USB powered but you can buy an optional power cord (wall plugin). Comes with the USB cable.

You'll definitely enjoy this controller! Feel free to Holla at me anytime....

Huey

Just your audio cables or adapters, usb is of course supplied with the djc.4;^]

I been working on bouth controllers, i mean on mixtrack and on beatmix. I own beatmix, and i totaly recomend it! :)

Hercules 4Mix is made to last, very solid construction and very versatile plus can fit in your gig bag very easily.. The jogs are great.
