Topic: Virtual DJ Version 4.3.r12 will not play MPEG4

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am still using Virtual DJ Version 4.3.r12, however, Top Hits USA is changing from the DVD format to all Virtual DJ MPEG4.

The version of Virtual that I am using does not recognize MPEG4.

Is there a known fix for Virtual DJ Version 4.3.r12?

I attempted to use the forum search but came up empty handed.

It's because you are running such an old version of the software that does not have any built-in support for the latest MP4 codecs.

We'd strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of the software: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Otherwise, the only work around that might work is changing the decoder for MP4 in CONFIG -> Codecs to either Windows Media Player or Quicktime.
