Is there a program to convert karaoke from mp3+g to mp4?

I want to convert my entire karaoke library to MP4. MP3+G is simply tooooo big.

Is there a program out there that will do this?

Convert MP3+G to MP4.

Too big? That shouldn't be a problem. A huge HDD is not too expencive these days.
Even if there is a program to convert to MP4 you've got to understand that reducing the filesize always means you compress the file more than it already is and therefor decrease the quality of the song. So my advise is: Don't.

mp3+g = mp3 + text
mp4 = video....
Which one do you think is bigger in size ?

Also it would be a nightmare having karaoke show up in you video searches and vice versa

All your karaoke files should be .zip format. Then you have the added value of compression and maintaining the differentiating file type for a karaoke file.

Just curious, can you actually play a zip file? I Don't want to sound stupid, but if you can play karaoke in a zip format, i wasn' aware of it.

MP4 is bigger but for me, more manageable.

What are some programs that will do this? Especially ones that I can do in batch.

From the User guide, page 57 :

In addition to being able to play music and other video content, VirtualDJ allows provides support to
play and mix karaoke files.

VirtualDJ is compatible with MP3+G, WAV+G, WMA+G, OGG+G, and .ZIP files.

The tracks will appear with a ―K in its icon . When loaded on the deck, VirtualDJ will load the
audio track on the deck and display the CDG file in the video mixer.

VirtualDJ supports the binding of the CDG files with its MP3 counter parts as one single .ZIP file.

I am aware of that. I use VDJ for my karaoke show every week and i am very happy with it. However, There is a club that wants me to do karaoke but they use serato with serato video.
Therefore I need to convert my karaoke to MP4.

Is there a program out there that will do this for me in batch?
I am currently using Power CD+G to iPOD Karaoke conveter and it's working fine but it's gonna take me months and monthe to convert because I have to go into the karaoke folder, then into each folder, then into each sub folder, then each sub-sub folder to get to the zip files.

I'm looking for a way to simply drop the whole karaoke folder and convert the entire content without having to go through sooooooo many steps.

Maybe it's easier to convert the club to use VDJ..... ;)
Like always: Google is your (best) friend: Using "MP3+CDG to MP4 converter" gives me (one of) the next result: >>CLICK<<

Thanks Martin,

I saw that but I can't figure out how to do the batch file. I have had to open folder>subfolder>sub subfolder> sometimes sub, sub, subfolder> then drag the zip files.

I really need to know how to do it in batch so I can do all this easier and quicker.

Oops... My link is to Power CD+G to iPod converter.....
If the program is not able to convert a folder including the subfolders then it's a lot of work...
I have been looking for a program that can do folders including subfolders, but all I could find are programs where you have to select the files that need to be converted. So I guess there's nothing else that could do the job :s

KJams has the option to export as MOV in the export menu.

i've never used it to do this as it seems like a strange thing to do but the feature seems to be there! and i guess if you insist on mp4 you could batch convert the videos once they have converted using some other software!.

is use your own computer running VDJ hooked into they're set up not a possibility? I had the same situation but i just took my macbook and controller down to the bar where i do the karaoke and connect my computer to they're video distribution amps using a mini-display-port to VGA adapter!
