I recently received this unit and am working on video and written technical reviews of this model. What can you tell me about using the USB/MIDI features of this to control VDJ or even Ableton while my CDJ-400s control VDJ?
Here is some info on it:

I can tell you that although almost all of the controls on the mixer send MIDI, it's not possible to do that without affecting the normal function of those controls. The only exception is the controls in the FX section when the MIDI shift button is used.

Hey there. Wanted to re-open a conversation about this mixer. I just purchased one and am using it as the sound card. I have CDJs controlling VDJ. Has anyone out there had any issues with the sound card. I just wanted to know what settings are being used what luck you're having with it. So far, I love the build quality and everything else that goes along with it. Any help with any sound settings would be appreciated.
I am currently using it as ASIO with external mixer. I had some issues with the latest version of VDJ where I had to change the ASIO settings of the DB2 to 44.1 instead of 48. Anyone else?

I have a DB2 and am trying to use timecode vinyl with it, however, only channels 2 & 3 offer phono inputs so I am having trouble getting both turntables working since VJ requires me to use channel 1. Is there a work around for this situation? I also have a Denon DN-X1600 mixer that has the same issue.

What do you mean by VDJ "requiring" you to use channel one?
The DB2 has USB audio in & out on all four mixer channels. If you set up your VDJ audio config correctly, you should be able to use any or all of the four DB2 channels.
