Topic: Terratec 6DMX+ Traktor X1 + MacBook + Traktor Scratch Pro = HELP

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi guys!
I just decided to go from CDs to digital! It has NOT been working out so far. I have managed to install the X1 to my MacBook 10.7.2, but I can't get the soundcard going.

So this is my soundcard: http://www.terratec.net/en/products/DMX_6Fire_USB_2084.html
A TerraTec DMX 6Fire USB

I have no idea what the problem is. I've installed like a thousand drivers, but I still don't have a clue if the problem is the software or the hardware.

I've decided to just ****ing delete everything, and re-install everything. I really want this to work, so any tips you can give me, I would love it. Problem is, that I'm new to Mac, Traktor AND terratec, and I'm no technical wonder child..

- How to install the Traktor X1 without it totally flipping out because of the sound card.
- All installations/drivers
- How to get the soundcard to work and how to wire it with what.
- How to get everything to work together.

I need help with every part of this install. Pretend you are speaking to a three-year-old.

Thank you for any reply, I don't have anyone I can ask for help.

NOTE: VirtualDJ does not currently natively support the Traktor X1 controller, but there are user-made mappers available for it from: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/controllers.html?category=best&order=default&search=traktor+x1 (You need to be a registered licensed user of VirtualDJ Pro to be able to download and use these: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html )
