If you like to use a mix only on iTunes side, like to play on your iPod please select record Record Audio.
When you have select this, you can record your mix for example as a mp3 file.
If you like to burn your Mix on CD, you have to use Burn CD
You have to use a burn software like Nero, to burn file on a CD.
This is NOT possible with VDJ ;-)

any recorded mp3 you already have (assuming you did recorded your mix and not just mixed it to the air) can be just dragged and dropped into the itunes window.
Just have iTunes running, then go to the finder where your mp3 is and drag and drop it in iTunes, it's that simple.
Then from itunes Create a playlist call it "my mix" or whatever. Then right click on your mp3 as it shows inside itunes, select "add to playlist" put it on that playlist you just created.
insert blank cd
click on that playlist, tell it "burn to cd"
that's it.
