I respect your video and graphics knowledge, but can you explain in detail what you see as animated?
The one thing that I find odd is the scope between the booth and copter.
However, if positioned in the center of the wash and close enough, like the eye of a storm calm, dunno.
It doesn't seem to twist either and on a single cable impossible to do or hold, this would take a bridle.
What does seem entirely possible is that knowing dj ego's this is a classic showtime stunt, particularly ground zero party central South Beach Miami, and in that environment very believable.
Add to the mix club owners willing to do anything at any expense to keep them full all night, and it gets paid for.
Or, for all we know the music is piped and the dj is an acrobat right at home, lol.

Hi Rick, for me it's a fantastic bit of computer generation, from the boat deck to the slingers on the deck with the cradle, the helicopter only has static lights and none rotating on it, the cradle set up and lighting from it, go a little forward and throughout the vid to the shore line there are buildings with no audience watching this great pr event plus there is no road traffic happening either.
Move further on there is one shot at about 3:21 where there is a true skyline, just after that the guy is over water facing one way in the cradle with the lights facing the shore line but you have the light reflections happening to the rear of the cradle.
I believe it was a great computer generation pr job... but I have been known to be wrong.

If this was possible, I would be all over it!

Gotta love technology like laptops and VDJ to allow this to happen.
Just think about the records skipping and the needle sliding all over the place if this were vinyl on turntables.
