Hello!
I'm using Virtual DJ Pro 7 software to mix in the club. My problem revolves around the volume of my gain high and low throughout my mix. The Gain automatically adjusts (set to "auto gain") but there are times when the music playing is significantly louder than the next track. I would have to suddenly adjust the slide volume on the hercules 4-MX console
Where can I go to set a "flat volume" output so the music stays more or less the same loudness throughout ?
I love this software, but having to constantly lower or raise my volume (or the Gain while mixing) is driving me nut.
Thanks,
Seyi

When playing a song that you have never played before, make sure that you allow it to load in full before starting to play it, otherwise the volume (Gain) will change as the loading progresses and VirtualDJ determines the correct overall gain.
To avoid this, we recommend pre-analysing your music collection: http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/3972/Pre-analysing_your_music_collection.html
NOTE: With auto-gain, once songs have been analysed, you should not normally need to change the gain.

I have the same constant problem with my Hercules RMX. The levels on my tracks are all loaded in the red. What makes it worst is that when I turn the gain to the left the levels do not lower. It's not until I turn the gain knob to the right that I get control and can lower the gains. So naturally my mix spikes and sounds terrible unless I make the adjustment while cueing. What can I do to avoid this?

I had the same problem @the club live @ each set,so i had to think old school.
Im running my RMX in a club mixers so I raise the gain or volume higher on the club mixer, then the master on my RMX was now 1/2 way up and that gave me the volume control I need it and if I need more volume on my RMX I played with the gain and if need it more then I use the master, then back down with the master on the next song.( Up and Down All Night ) my setting was @ auto/remember also
