I've got problems playing .mpg files or at least one folder of them.
All .mpg video's in my video folder play fine
All .mpg videos in my karaoke folder have no video output and only loud static for sound.
BUT these same .mpg's play fine in Nero & windows media players.
I've updated codecs on my computer using the latest K-lyte codec pac , but this doesn't help matters.
I think its to do with codecs under VDJ but need some Help .... Please

I Remembered this seemed a familiar Problem.....
I checked thru my tickets found this from 2007
Thought I would post this hopefully may help someone else .... As it Solved my problem.
But Not sure why its happening again
Message: Found that some VCD files extracted to a hdd folder do not play on virtual dj . They Load but produce no video, and a harsh raspy static when played. As Recomended in the software forum .DAT extension were changed to .MPG. Yet These \"BAD FILES\" play perfectly in Nero & ClassicMedia Player. According to info screen on nero they are MPEG-1 video files the same as ones that do play. Is there anything I can do to play these files in VDJ? Ive had no response from the forums

Message: open them with the windows media video codec instead of the internal video codec, you can change the codec in the settings / codec tab
