Hello all,
I know they say that: Good news is no news, so here is some No News.
End of april 2011 I did a party (mp3 and vob's for video) for about 5 hours with version 7.03.
Using the Ecler Evo5 as soundcard/mixer/midi controller (3 channels, 2 for decks, 1 for samples) and the Hercules control mp3 for midi over usb.
Not a single hick-up at all, everything running as it should.
So coming weekend I will do more of the same, then trying out the new version 7.04.
Best greetings,
Arie

Nice choice in mixer. I'm biased though because I use an Ecler EVO5 too ;)

Yes I agree nice mixer, I use the Nuo4 but either way I haven't had any problems with VDJ for awhile. With that said I never really have had any problems that weren't really my fault, knock on wood...........

Thanks for complimenting my (supposed) good taste ;-)
I am still really happy with this mixer.
Must say, that for midi I prefer a controller with large jog wheels, like the (simple) Hercules DJ mp3 control.
Even though, as you know, the Evo5 also has midi knobs and buttons.
With VDJ now supporting lots of decks, the 4 firewire channels on the Evo5 come in really handy.
Sound quality (great in VDJ7, also in this mixer, and then having good PA) is really fine.
Just a tip, I rented this nice set of speakers made by Eric Audio. They have a good price/quality ratio.
@SBDJ, we shared some thoughts on the Evo5 and VDJ for Mac here:

You were planning to double check, if Evo5 indeed works flawlessly with Mac.
Maybe you have some news on this?
Thanks and best greetings,
Arie
