Its an analog mixer with no built in soundcard, so you will need and external soundcard 4 in and 4 out if you intend to use timecode control of just 4 outs if you want to use a midi controller or a mouse. Honestly I would stay away from this mixer... if you want to stay with behringer get a ddm4000 as the build on the djx series is shoddy at best.

yes thanks for info. For a four channel mixer is it possible to run to soundcards for 2 laptops into the mixer so 2 ppl can mix at the same time?
and i went and got the numark m6 instead it was more in my budget and if been testing it out and its quite good for the price!

yep, you just need to be able to input 4 rca channels at the same time, and have two separate soundcards and two separate computers, or use an audio 8/10 with one computer
