Hey,
I got this off a friend the other day, and have just spent hours trying to get these headphones feature to work.
This is how I have the console set up.

Light Grey = DJ Console
Black = Computer
Orange = Subwoofer/Speakers
Green wire = USB Cable
Blue wire = Speaker > PC Cable
Yellow wire = Subwoofer > Speaker Cable
Pink = Headphones
(Excuse my fail paint drawing, it was the easiest way to describe it).
I'm running Windows 7, and using Virtual DJ 6.0.6.
VDJ config is as follows;
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones - Master: Chan1&2 / Headphones: Chan 3&4
Soundcard: DJ Console MK2
________
Now I've tried other setups, using speakers that plug into the console itself, but get a very low volume level no matter what settings I change in the sound, and my current set-up is the only one to get good volume on.
I'm just wondering if there's something wrong with the set-up I'm using.
Any advice is welcome, thanks. :)

Just a quick update, I have got the headphones working after a bit of messing around, but now it's either just the headphones are playing sound, or the speakers in the current set-up. It works fine with speakers plugged into Output 1&2 but I have the same old volume issue of it being way to quiet.
Any help on that? :)

This is an old and out-of-date version of the software. We are now on v7.0.3 and there have been many changes and improvements to the software since v6.0.6. Please try with the latest Home FREE http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html and if you like the software, please purchase it from http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
Or use VirtualDJ Console Edition v3.4 that comes with the Hercules DJ Console MK2.
Make sure that you have plugged a pair of powered stereo speakers into the master outputs on the back of the console and your headphones into the headphone socket of the console.
Alternatively, connect a suitable cable (2x RCA to 3.5" headphone jack) from the master output of the console to the line input of your computer. The sound will then come out through the computer's speakers (If not, go to your sound card's mixer/control panel and ensure that the line input is not muted and the volume is set to an appropriate level.)
If the speakers are too quiet, check that the master volume knob in VirtualDJ (On the skin) is turned up, the volume slider of the appropriate channel is at maximum and the volume of your powered speakers is turned up to an appropriate level.
Also, check in the Hercules control panel that the output volumes are turned up - Click on the DJ icon in the taskbar to access this.
NOTE: VirtualDJ LE/Console Edition is free limited software and does not support outputting sound directly through your computer's own built-in sound card. It works with the sound card in the console only. For more flexible sound configuration options and much, much more, you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Pro: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
