Ok here is my setup, I got 2 DVI output and 1 s-video 7 pins on my (PC video card )and it's a 512 gb. ATI Radeon , Now I'm hooked up to an a s-video splitting into a component cable adapter and all the way to the component into TV, Everything is working find on one only, Now I want that signal to go to the second TV. What is the proper setup for doing this? I want to eliminate the component cable (green, blue, red) completely because it would be to expensive to buy 50' of this cable.
I also have an s-video adapter transfering into the video rca cable (yellow) and a VGA adapter transfering to either s-video 4 pins or RCA video cable . I work in a club and they asked me to setup on both TV's. and I'm getting frustrated trying to fixed this problem. Any suggestions??? Thank you in advance for all of your help in fixing this problem.

Damn, you may have missed a great deal. Radio Shack had a 1 in 4 out s-video distribution amplifier on clearance last week. I bought two more, because they were only $10.00. I paid $50.00 for the first two I bought. I did not see it listed any more on their website. I also bought two more of these. You will get a much better picture with them, since you have that option. I don't know if they have Radio Shacks in Canada, but if you would like me to check, I can see if they still have the S-video splitter. It also converts composite to s-video, and visa verse. So it has 1 s-video, 1 composite, and 1 left & right audio in, and 4 of each out. It comes with a power adapter. I use them all the time, and leave them in some of my clubs, that's why I have so many.

hold on, if the guy has 2 dvi outputs then it is as simple as hooking up one dvi cable to each tv....then use the multiscreen option in windows. there is no need for a splitter if theres already 2 outputs. i can do 2 screens on mine witho no problems and mine has one dvi and one vga.
if the tv's dont have dvi then a simple dvi > hdmi connector will suffice.
once they are plugged in just goto
control panel > display > connect to a projector and select duplicate. then goto vdj config> video. select active then set your video out to one of your graphics card outputs. hit enable and press ok.
that should be it.
having 2 outputs means there is no need for splitters. unless of coures you would rather use the crappy svideo output instead of the hd carrying dvi???
dvi to hdmi-f connectors $0.49 each

just screw it into your graphics card then run a hdmi cable to the tv. thats if your tv's dont have DVI of course. 2 for $1 . easy peasy cheap as cheesy

What do you mean by "use the multiscreen option in windows"? He still needs to connect regular monitor to one of the DVI outputs so he can manipulate the program. It's not for auto-mixing setup, right?
Anyway, there are a lot of Y-cables (DVI, VGA, s-video) that are cheap and will do the job.

multiscreen? its when you choose to use more than one screen. you know on a laptop where you have a vga or hdmi output?
well you can choose to use both your laptop screen and your external at the same time.
well its the same with a pci graphics card with 2 or more outputs.
all he has to do is assign things to each output on the graphics card. eg. vdj window to one and his vdj video to the other.
there would be no use in using a splitter when there are clearly "2" outputs already on the graphics card. thats like having a dog and barking yourself.
why would you split one of your "2" channels to give you 2 outs when you already have 2 in the first place. using 2 outputs assigned to seperate jobs is tons better than having 2 jobs assigned to one output and then split and amplified.
the capeabilities are already built into the graphics card. he does not need Y splitters. he has "2" DVI out's.
ontop of that DVI outputs are by far better than any svideo as they can carry hd quality signals. therefore hd video can be used. svideo will not even come close to the quality you get from DVI.

oh and 20m hdmi cables are less than £20 each

so for £42 or whatever that is in dollars he has everything he needs to run hd quality vid.

ah @filosof
after re reading the post i see what you mean
he wants "2" video screens and "1" computer screen?
in that case why not assign the "2" DVI to the video screens and use the onboard graphics or the svideo for the signal to the computer screen??? 3 total outputs means 3 screens surely. there has got to be a way to set the graphics card to output the video mix to the 2 dvi's and the software to the svideo.

I don't think VDJ outputs Hd video quality, so it's a wast to buy gold if you only need silver, VGA is good enough to match the programs output anyway...
I have a VGA splitter with 8 outs no problems at all..

I could be wrong, but you do not get three outputs, because you have two DVI outputs. If you use both DVI outputs, then you do not have visuals on the laptop. One of the DVIs is the software, and the other is the extended screen. If you want to have VDJ on you laptop screen, then you can only use one DVI output. As I said, I could be wrong. Maybe you have a laptop that I am not familiar with. If all your TVs have DVI inputs, there are plenty of powered splitters out there. Use the best connection that you can. Unfortunately, some clubs only have s-video, and that is what you have to use.

you have 3 when you have 2 dvi and 1 svideo ;)
as stated in the original post
also it's PC not laptop.

Hi and thanks for the info and yes we do have Radio Shack but they are called The Source now, and I did buy one of those amplifyer with 1 input to 4 output but I guess I didn't set it up properly , I don't need to use the rca audio though as it comes out of the mixer to the Club's Speakers,

No, it's the same thing, laptop or desktop. You only get two outputs. Either 2 DVI, or 1 DVI and 1 S-video. You do not get three outputs.

I run from my S-video to an RF Converter then to all the TV's in the club using the existing co-ax cables in the building. This also allows me to use the TV's for additional surround sound if you like.
When I do Karaoke I use an S-video Y splitter & add the monitor for the singers.
Pretty simple hook up.

Ok but once it's plug into the first TV , how do I connect from this TV to carry the video to the other TV? do I just plug an RCA Video (yellow) cable to the output of this Tv to the next one? This is my main problem to carry a quality signal to the next one as I tried but both were black and white. Thank you very much for your help and I'll definitly try this.

No it's not for auto mixing, but I do mixes the videos myself at the Club just like you would do with a normal cd. Thank you for the help

OK thats what I'm doing though using one DVI for my pc screen and the other one is for my videos out to TV and in my graphic card ATI I assigned the TV to second screen so this way everybody only see the videos and not my computer screen as this is only me seeing it with VDJ mixing them up. My problem is to bring a strong signal to the second TV and how to do this , do I go output video (yellow female RCA)from one TV directly to the second TV? Thank you again for your help I appreciate this very much.

No, No, No. He is under the assumption that you can use BOTH DVI outputs, to the TVs, and STILLhave a monitor for the program. You can not. One of the DVIs is for you, and the other is for the TV. Or you can use the S-video. You can not use both. If you use s-video out, you can use one of these. If you want to use DVI use one of these, or something similar.
One good thing about this forum is you get a lot of ideas from different people. This is not about ideas, but the right or wrong way to get to what you want. These guys mean well, but I know what will work. I only do video, so try what I say out, and see if it works.

Ok your right , as the 2 DVI is one for my PC screen only and the second one carries out the second video out to the TV screen and my problem is to carry this same signal to the second TV andfhow to connect them so I get the same quality in both TV's. right now I only use the component cable directly to the one TV as it's comming out from my pc as s-video to a component adapter to make it work on 1 TV.
