Numark has been very busy cranking out products flooding the market. It appears to be like let's throw shit at the wall and see what sticks with no real game plan. The stuff is cutting edge but what about the quality. They have everything covered when it comes to midi controllers and software for iPad and iPods. 2011 should be the year of the controller wars. This was the item I was talking about when I said it was a step above fisher price DJ gear. Don't get me wrong Numark has got a ton of cash from me in the past and I like their gear.

Can't disagree with you there. but this IS designed for beginner DJs, this is just the Ion Discover DJ but for iPad. however, its made for an iDevice, not for a laptop DJ. they're experimenting with a possible next gen concept of DJing, or a backup plan

I second DJGCE.
I look forward to the day when there's a more reliable/rugged option than the average laptop, and something like the iPad could be it.
A screen with all the electronics behind it, an OS that boots quickly, solid state.....
