Topic: Deleting Folders and Files from the Browser (Mac Version)?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm sorry if this is covered somewhere but how does one delete folders and files from the browser? I cannot figure out how to do this on the Mac version. I can't delete anything once it's been created or added, and files that don't exist are still showing up in my folders. Please help, thanks.

This is a bug that has been reported for some time now. Will hopefully be fixed in vdj7.

As far as I know the only folders that you can't delete by right clicking are playlist folders, but you should be able to delete virtual folders and filter folders. Btw, deleting a virtual folder will not delete the tracks it contains. If you want to delete the actual tracks you have to right click on the tracks themselves, right click, and select delete. And you can still delete playlist folders, you just have to go into your VDJ folder / Playlists and throw any playlists you want to delete in the trash.

Thanks. Being a Mac person I never have done much "right clicking", my mouse wasn't even set up for it.

Pressing the control button and clicking is the same as right clicking.

To delete playlists on a MAC, go to finder and type in playlists. When you see the folder named playlists open it up and you should see the playlists in virtual DJ or Numark cue. Simply drag the files you want to delete to trash. When you reopen your program, the files you dragged to trash will be gone.
