I know a good DJ knows his songs inside and out, but I have got thousands of songs and videos, and can't remember how they all play. Some have 8 or 16 beats before lyrics start, some 32 or more, some an odd number. My point is, it would be great if I could show a beat on the timeline where my song fully drops, so that I can ensure my mix is complete by then. Yes, I can often guess by the timeline visual readout, but a red line (or some other marker) would really be helpful for me.
Is there a way to do this already? Maybe by setting a second mix point, a visual marker can be produced? (If so, how can that be done?) However, this may increase the likely hood of starting the track at the wrong mix point, no?!

I use Cue points. every one is a signifcant marker. 1 could be start of beat (after intro), next vocal, etc.
I reserve Cue 4, for skipping dead spots in some of my videos. Cue 5 is for loops and/or mix out. That system works real well for me. I only play once or twice a month and I kind of need that advantage right now.

The other thing you can do is rename the cue point you have put in the timeline from "Cue #" to whatever you want eg. drop, vocal, breakdown etc... just right click the cue point in the smaller waveform screen and select rename.
