Thanks so much for your help. So when the BPM isn't read properly how do I count the BPM ? how did you get it perfect to the decimal point?
ALSO, the earlier version of VDJ read EVERY song correctly ... even the laday gaga one. Why has it changed now?

I dont know.. Personally I noticed that it got slightly better between version 5.x and 6.x
Version 5 DID NOT read every song correctly (at least not for me..) I corrected many BPM's back then (I would guesstimate I checked/corrected close to 50% of my 'most plays' )...
with VDJ 6.x I don't seem to be correcting as many.. Of course, a large part of that could be due to most of the new songs I'm collecting have a pronounced beat (IE: most of the stuff I now buy are new songs)
you can try a search of the forums.. I don't think they made any major changes to the beat detection engine..
