Hello,

I suspect this is your computer causing the problem with both products.

I am aware that some users encountering issues with computers featuring the newest Intel i3, i5, or i7 processors with any USB product.

Users may encounter trouble successfully installing hardware drivers, or see the "Hardware disconnected' message even after installing the driver. Other users may be experiencing USB dropouts or latency issues.

We have discovered that there may be a compatibility between the computer's BIOS and the new controller chipset Intel uses with these processors.

Installing the latest BIOS update for your computer has been known to resolve the issue.

I have noticed the crackling in my setup as well when upgrading to a windows 7 laptop. My comp is so new i haven't found any bios updates available. I have a Sony Vaio vpcf115fm/b Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit); 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 720QM; 6GB DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz; 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M using VDJ 6.1 and a Numark Total Control and Numark DJ/IO. What are the proper latency settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
