Topic: Where is Windows registry equivalent on MAC?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

In the Windows version I changed the registry key "HistoryTimer" so that short tests of a track did not count as being played in the history. How do I do this in the MAC version?

its called a plist and the file you are looking for is com.atomixproductions.virtualdj.plist

Download cels registry tool to mess around with it. One great thing about mac is if you mess it up totally you can trash the plist and reinstall vdj to have it back to normal.

Many thanks for your reply. I thought there was probably a plist file somewhere and I now know it's in ..<user>/Library/Preferences/. For some strange reason spotlight doesn't find it.

spotlight won't find it on purpose can you imagine would would happen if it did, apple support would be down for months.

Point taken. Thanks for your help.
