Today, Symantec Endpoint 12 antivirus decided that this file contains a virus..
Please report if your sonuque files are being deleted by your virus checkers.
There may be no reason to panic, it might be just something on my system causing this..

there was two packs of soniques at one time, I think it was cel that cleaned and put out a replacement, so if you got the old pack (the one with the most in) you may well have the bug that was in there.

update:
Ive managed to remove L:\RECYCLER directory, as on win7, its not connected to the recycle bin.
also, ive done a full scan, and ive not found any issues (esp not in C:\Users ~~ \VirtualDJ (directory) )

Cosmic Belt is ok, but since january, Syantec has fallen out with Cosmic Nebulae.svp
ive noticed this has been missing for a while from the visuals (on my system)
Does anybody know WHY the antivirus program suddenly detects a trojan inside this file?
Is it that the author of the particular file has withdrawn it from use?
as a counter measure, ive told symanted to ignore my sonique directory, so that this visual can stay to do its nebulae on my screen...

The Cosmic Nebulae was developed by a Klingon, and Symantec is a Vulcan program, and we know they don't get along with each other.

well im with the Ferengi's on this and i claim the file back on my harddrive, and the Klingons and Romulans arent gonna make me remove it today.
The Vulcans have been given strict instrutions on IGNORING the sonique directory, so the Klingons can continue playing..
...and ive also found RDs_vectorscope.svp to play nicely, and a few others, from Google
if they give me grief, i'll send them out of the nearest airlock.
(sorry for the startrek talk, but sometimes it helps explain things using aliases)

7 of 9?? Locutus of Borg??
anyway.. at it says above (all be it hidden) we're not looking at a virus, these anti-virus programs get bored sometimes cause they have nothing to do these days, so theyre picking on files that arent run as an executable (or files that would never be double clicked)

ALSO.... http://www.fusionmedia.org/
AND .... http://support.xmplay.com/file.php?cat_id=6
WARNING: Not all these files are compatable with VDJ, some can also crash VDJ, or contain 3rd party adverts.
Its recommended that users only use the official VDJ Pack, to avoid problems.

and if you do add extra visuals from the internet, test them for a few hours at home before your main gig..
Posted Thu 18 Mar 10 @ 9:11 pm
why are you going anywhere else guys, there is a perfect pack of soniques (72) right here on site, ok'd by DJ Cel so no need to go anywhere else.
Mind depending on your taste and how high your cpu goes up you have a bit of deleting out the duff ones. But they are tested and accepted as safe.

Being searching and finding a lot of new INFO. Will post on a new thread.in my discoveries i have found a few types of sonique files that work! also a pluing that works within a plugin (sonique) its a demo and an Advert i guess but this one ROCKS! a total Randomizer of Graphics that you can just leave On and get on with other things like adding Firetext and other Video effects on top.Too soon to disclose in that Im also checking for stability but WILL REPORT!
