I have the Virtual Vinyl version 6.0.7 and I cant use the NDX-800, how do I solve this problem besides purchasing/upgrading to the latest Virtual DJ version 6.0.8?

I am having the same problem. I have the newest Numark Cue 6.07 & the ndx doesn't seem to support it yet. Help please?

Hi, I have been looking into the Numark NDX800's, and I was wondering if it is now possible to use two separate 800's mapped through USB Midi on Virtual DJ Pro 7. It is VERY important for me to be able to use each controller to operate the decks of VDJ independently... Please let me know if this is now possible, as I have been reading that prior attempts to do this resulted in only one 800 controller showing up in VDJ..

Thanks for any clarification...

zmadhatter...

Yes it is.

I've had a pair of NDX800's since they first came out in the UK and have used them extensively with Virtual DJ Pro Version 6.1.2, but when Version 7 came out, I had a bit of strangeness. Thankfully this was cured when Version 7.0.2 was released.

I am, as I type this, using dual NDX800's with Virtual DJ Version 7.0.2 (b347) with no problems.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick response! So just to be clear, each NDX800 shows up as a separate controller in VDJ 7 and can be mapped to either the left or right deck of VDJ?

Also, does the 800 act as a soundcard as well, pulling the live audio stream from its respective deck on VDJ through USB and outputting it through the 800's RCA stereo outputs to a mixer?

I'm planning on purchasing 2 Numark NDX800's and a Pioneer DJM 350 mixer. I want to plug each 800 into my laptop via USB, have the left CDJ mapped to the left deck of VDJ, the right CDJ mapped to the right deck of VDJ, and each USB connection passing its respective deck's feed though the 800 and into the mixer via RCA stereo connection. Please let me know if this is possible!!!!!

Thanks!

I couldn't wait any longer! I went ahead and purchased two Numark NDX800's, but decided to upgrade on the mixer, and splurged on a Pioneer DJM-700. My plan is to link each CDJ to my laptop through its own USB connection, have one 800 controlling the left deck of Virtual DJ 7 Pro and the other one controlling the right deck of VDJ, all the while outputting sound back into the 800's through the same USB connection. I will then connect each 800 to its own channel on the Pionner mixer via the standard RCA stereo connections.

I've done a good deal of research and think this is the best way to achieve the setup I'm looking for...

Let me know what you think and if this will work...

Thanks for any input!

=)

@ Madhatter...You will still need an external soundcard - DJIO, Hercules DeeJay Trim, Native Instruments Audio 2, 4 or 8, etc. as the NDX800 do not have a sound card built in. The USB connection only allows the NDX800 to send and recieve MIDI signals.

If you look at this thread - http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/141403/Hardware_Technical_Support/Behringer_DD4000_Mixer_-_How_to___.html - and scroll down you will see a video I put together showing how it all connects together (I use a Behringer DDM4000, but the connections are the same for the Pioneer).

With regards to one deck controlling the left deck and the other controlling the right deck, you are correct. If you need any advice setting it up, give me nudge, or catch up with me on Facebook (www.facebook.com/DJTyDee).

Hope this helps

I just picked up a NDX 800 a week ago and hooked it up the the RMX and it works great for me out of the box.. The only thing With it being a controller the RMX doesn't work that smooth with them especially if you only have one nix 800 it takes A little time getting used to it once you learn it's like a walk in the park if you know what I mean but I give it a 5 star for only owning it for A week I happy with it....
