Topic: Does Traktor Virtual Vinyl Work with any version of virtual dj?

Hey guys, i am considering making the switch from traktor scratch to virtual dj but i was wondering if anyone knows if my traktor control vinyls will work with it or if i will need to buy new ones, or is there a plugin i can download? thanks, steve

Yes Traktor timecodes work with Virtual dj, But it's recommended you purchase Serato Timecodes because they are very very very stable with vdj. The Traktor scratch hardware (Audio Interface) definitely runs well with vdj.
 
Thanks, i will probibly invest in a serato vinyl for performing but i just wanna use my traktor vinyl for practice as with the amount of scratching i do they dont last me that long. just wondering though is the compatiibility with traktor vinyl a new feature of VDJ 6? because i tired to get it to work on my mates VDJ 5 and i couldnt (it might be because his is a dodgy copy, i keep telling him to just buy the real thing) or is there some kind of setting i need to select? thanks
 
Support for other timecodes started to be added from version v5.1

The illegal version that your friend is using is probably too old. For best results, please use the latest v6.0.6 trial http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html
