Topic: How to make your samples work after your have downloaded them of the site?????

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello people.!!! I have Numark Cue 6.0. I registered my copy. I have been having problems on getting samples i have downloaded off the website to work. I have Windows 7. I download the file. Unzip the file. It installs. I go to the file which it has been downloaded to. Its a VDJ. file. I go to the Numark Cue/Sampler folder. I Drag and drop the VDJ. file into that sampler folder. The file is in that folder now. Then I open up Cue and scroll to the sampler option and when the list comes up that sample that I have downloaded and unzip is not there. I am so frustrated because I check everything in the forums to try to fix the problem. No luck. I try several other ways to try to change the file to an MP3 file or even a VST. file no luck. So maybe someone could help me solve the problem or walk me thru how to clear it up. The file that im trying to make wok is the 50 Cent / go, go, go chant. Can someone help. Hollla......

Yeah man. I see the VDJ. file in there but when I load Cue and hit the sampler tab the sample im looking for is not there. The other samples are there the ones it starts you off with but no sign of the downloaded one. I hope someone can lend the expertise.

Strange, I would have given you the advice to remane your samples with the ".mp3" extension, but since you already did it... Usually, this manipulation solves the problem but ... I'm afraid I don't know now ! I also tried to download that sample you use and rename it, it works for me...

Im going to try to rename it. You can play it and load it to the deck and it would play fine off the deck using the MP3 format but it doesnt seem to come out in the sampler tab. How any time did it take you until it worked for you???

You need to load the sample into one of the 12 available sample slots. To do this, click on the small bullet button at the top-right of the sample slot that you want to load it into and choose Load from the pop-up menu.

NOTE: Leave the sample files named .vdj - If you can't see the samples, try typing *.* into the file name box and press return/enter.
