I would like to see automix playlist #2 for Background/Bumper music.
This is the way I do it now I have automix populated with my DJ & Video selections.
While the music is playing I’m collecting request slips and entering singer’s name & song information, getting my rotation schedule completed to start the karaoke segment of the show.
Just before I start the Karaoke show I have a virtual folder setup with songs for my Background music for the Start of the show, the End of the show and in between singers which I fade in and out & stop through my controller, so there is no Dead air.
The real tedious part here is I have to take the files from the virtual folder and drag them into the automix list just beneath the song that is playing so when the next song starts then I can start the show and the other files will just play as needed one after the other so the background music keeps changing.
Once that karaoke segment is done I then have all my DJ/Video files and my karaoke background music all in the same automix list "quite a mess", so now while a DJ track is playing I have to find and delete the background tracks from the automix list.
Now I have to do this all over again when the next karaoke segment starts.
So if automix playlist #2 option was available then this process would be a lot easier for the working DJ/KJ/VJ/WJ, just populate that list and use as needed...
Click on playlist #2 to auto transition to the next sequential song on playlist #2 when done, click on playlist #1 to auto transition to the next sequential song it transitioned from.
I think the Wedding, Karaoke & Video DJ’s would also like this Idea, be more organized.
Thanks

Can't you simply do this with saved playlists?
I have, in the passed, saved my current playlist as "now" and re-saved frequently (mainly when I was paranoid about a crash). But I also have a playlist for background music so, using this principle, you could switch between the "now" and "background" playlist.
Not ideal, but would give you a workaround while the dev guys consider multiple "live" playlists...

Yes I know that's why I set up a Virtual folder but, if you read the steps carefully that I have to go through to achieve this seemingly simple task in VDJ it does make you wonder why this process can't be a little more user friendly.
That's why I posted the request, I see a very big need for this type of feature to be implemented to make our job a little easier and more organized, this way we'll have more time to spend on the entertaining part of our business and not over focus on the tedious routine on how to make this happen..

I also see a definite advantage in a second playlist.
Currently I use Side List for tracks I may want to use over and over again or at the drop of a hat or songs I plan to play but are not requests, like a 'My Songs' area.
The playlist accommodates the clienteles requests which includes karaoke.
In an ideal world having a second playlist that could run AutoMix would be very handy, I could load it up with a BG playlist and just let it work.
A dream come true would be if this could have it's own player and be assigned to run on a preview output or headphones while keeping my 2 main decks free for work.
This would be a satisfying stop-gap until a fully fledged 4-Deck VDJ might surface.
We can but dream.

I agree. But for another reason. I'd like to run a list of created backbeats that are simple (such a 1/4 bass or 1/2 snare and 1/4 base with a possible 3/4 snare.) that I can create in a long mp3s (15-20 minutes) and create a more articulate mix by selecting different backbeats and putting them into a playlist order that runs on deck 2 or 3 which I can then beatsync to deck 1 (or whichever deck I'm playing on) and while deck 1 is automixing from the main playlist, my backbeat deck is running it's automix from playlist #2.
I'm sure there are other applications for this but for a lot of bars and medium sized clubs, this would provide a sound that is much more difficult to attain without better equipment.

And....A second playlist that can autoload into an assigned deck, built exactly where it exist now with a tab access for the control panel...
Needed for weddings, karaoke shows, Comedy shows, Singer, Guest Artist proforming tracks, Entertainers material, ect
