I rarely mix and my wife does not at all. Where we play (for 15 years and never been replaced or let go at 5 different residencies).eople in most parts, believe it or not, just want to dance. We always get handshakes, wedding gigs as a result (don't advertise for weddings), and tips thrown at us at the end of the night. Sometimes just having a little personality over the microphone (even making ppl laugh once in a while) really goes a long way. I mean a lil more than just shouting out the name of the next song too. Someone above mentioned attitude, yup, drop that and replace it with a lil personality and you're worth a million dollars. Trust me.
