Also, would I be able to control the songs (mp3s) on my labtop with the ck1000 using VDJ? What I'm trying to say is do I have to burn the songs onto a CD in order to play it through the ck1000. And is the only way to hook it up to my computer through a sound card? Would appreciate any help. Thanks

It is not MIDI capable, so the only way it could control VirtualDJ is via timecode CD's: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/timecode/cd.html
Unfortunately, it is also unsuitable for timecode use because it does not have separate line outputs for each CD player deck. It is an all-in-one unit intended to be used stand-alone for playing audio CD's only.

So does Virtual DJ only work with time-coded turntables? Do you have any suggestions on what kind of turntables I should buy in order to have it work with VDJ? I can only spend $400-500 so that's why I wanted to get a dual cd plalyer. Thanks

if your interested in that, why dont you get the M Audio Xponent instead. It already has a sound card built in. You dont need to buy anthing else. The price is about the same as you want to spend.
