Hello everyone.. I've searched and searched and searched and I can NOT find answers to my questions.. Please help.
I found a good deal on a pair of Axis 8's and a Matrix 3 mixer (Numark) on craigslist that I'm thinking about buying. I know they're out of date but you gotta start somewhere
My questions...
Is this a decent setup for a newbie/bedroom dj?
Is the price decent at $250 for everything?
How do I connect it to my PC/Laptop with Virtual DJ? Can I set it up with timecode cd's? Will the cd players/mixer act as controllers?
My virtual DJ is loaded with effects so I'm not worried about the CD or Mixer effects.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Please don't bash me. I've done a lot of research and can't seem to find these answers straight up...

Hi mate
I dont think the Axis 8 provides a USB connection so using it as a direct controller for VDJ would be out. You could use them with Timecode CD's but would require a 4 input 4 output sound card and of course the Pro Edition of VDJ to do this.
As you point out the mixer and CD players are now discontinued. Perhaps you could have a look at some of the combined controllers Hercules MK2 or similar so that you can control VDJ directly.
The price seems fair but you would be going in the wrong direction if using VDJ is gin to be youre primary plan.
